¿De qué imposibilidad te has auto convencido?

The circus came to town and the mayor decided to take his grandson. What the boy most enjoyed were the elephants, they made a lovely entertainment showing their abilities and their unlimited strength.
It was incredible to see what the big and strong animals were capable of doing using their enormous strength.
When the show ended the mayor took his grandson for a walk through the circus tents. And the boy saw how the elephants were taken to an area and tied with a rope to a post. He couldn’t understand after seeing the natural strength these animals have why they did not break loose, because they were surely strong enough to do so.
The boy asked his grandfather and not knowing what to answer the mayor suggested asking the elephant keeper.
The keeper explained: well – when they are young, they are tied down with similar rope, only that then they cannot break loose. Although they try and they try, they cannot free themselves. And when they grow older, they keep on believing it and don’t even try to escape anymore.
I find the truth of the poor circus elephant very saddening, and the similarity with people is also very sad, how we tie ourselves with invisible chains which impede us from obtaining freedom and happiness, and just by giving it another try we can reach our aim and our freedom.
What limitation have you convinced yourself about?
What dream, idea, aim or goal have you tried to reach and have decided after many failures that it’s impossible for you?
In what part of your life are you living alike the elephant, tied down through an invisible chain easily broken if you tried again?
So don’t live like a circus elephant. What used to be a high wall for you to jump is no longer that high, you have grown and evolved, it is no longer impossible for you, so break free from the invisible chain you have created and which has you tied down.
